Why Journal?
Why is writing your prayers so powerful?

We live in a world where everything can be done electronically. Literally, almost everything can be done without needing to put pen to paper.

But is that good? Research say it isn't the best.

NOTHING could be more important than the way you communicate on a daily basis with the Creator of the Universe...the Great I AM. Consider the following five reasons you NEED to be journaling your prayers...

Five Reasons You Need to Be Journaling Your Prayers

Research actually shows that the physical habit of writing can increase your immune system!

Want to stay healthy? Write things down!

Writing uses the left side of your brain. When you're writing, it frees up the right side of your brain to process creatively and with emotion.

Amazing, right? If raising boys is anything, it's emotional! Who knew writing about it could help you process your own emotions?

Writing helps you better understand what's happening in your life.

I've always said I'm doomed to experience life twice...once as it's happening and again as I write about it so I can try to figure it out! You don't have to be a "writer" to write out your thoughts. You just need to start somewhere...maybe even a simple bullet point list...

Writing is a stress reliever.

Processing through the things you're experiencing, and using God's Word to help direct your prayers is a game changer. As you allow the truth of God's Word to inform your experiences and the things you're praying through in life, you'll find that peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). Invaluable to a mom of boys, to say the least.

A prayer journal is the place where you can be the truest you.

As you get real before the Lord, telling Him where you're struggling, and asking Him to reveal Himself and move on behalf of your family, you'll find the freedom that comes from having a safe, nonjudgmental place to figure things out.

As you faithfully journal across the years you'll be able to look back and see the hand of God faithfully moving in your life and changing your heart. At times, remembering all that God has done is the very thing we need to believe He can do it again.
